In short, this was my Senior Seminar deliverable to graduate from college in 2024, under a Music Production major. My goal was to replace ALL the audio with my own, be it new voice acting, new music, and new sound effects. I ended up getting an 86% on this, and no, this was not assigned to me. I CHOSE to do an ADR project on a Brickleberry episode as my final college deliverable.
To cut on length, I omitted any of the jokes I thought were too crass enough to be categorized as "filler," and I also cut the entire sub-plot with Ethel and Connie. I chose this episode specifically because all of the crass stuff that I needed to cut didn't affect the plot in any way (Malloy saying really crude things while humping the phone, Steve's "green thumb on his penis"), the plot itself was relatively tame compared to other episode plots, and the subplot didn't tie into the main plot.
Voice Acting was very interesting, taught me how to use professional mics in a professional booth, and I got a few college friends to do roles that I couldn't. I myself covered multiple roles, this included Woody, Malloy, Connie, white DEA Agent, Nikolai, the cartel terrorist, and Dr. Kuzniak. I gotta say, Woody was so much fun to do. Malloy is basically my regular voice, and with Nikolai and Dr. Kuzniak, I figured I had pretty close enough impressions to play their parts.
Everyone else was voiced by my friends. The guy who voiced Denzel (and all other black guys for that matter) even got a newfound interest in voice acting from doing this, and funnily enough his major was Film Production.
Music was pretty much all composed by me, either done on GarageBand (through my iPad) or by playing an actual guitar (the jingles do come from the show, though, and I am not a great player at all). Some of the music that I wrote was repurposed from earlier projects, others were made specifically for this project and difference scenes. It was really cool creating a soundtrack for a Brickleberry episode mixing in my signature video-game-y flair to it.
Sound effects were done through foley, and if I couldn't do foley, I just pulled from something online (usually from a video game). You might even recognize some of them.
Enough yapping from me. Enjoy! Reply if you have any further questions or comments!
